CCM recently supported a professional services client in a complete relocation project of its Eastern European Shared Service Centre to new, fit-for-purpose premises.
The feedback on the move of over 200 personnel, with their equipment, was universally positive as staff arrived on the Monday morning.
Here are some tips for CIOs and Project Managers involved in similar projects from the CCM project manager:
- Ensure clear and concise communications disseminate to all impacted users around timings to set expectations
- Floor plans must be baselined at least one week ahead of move
- Retain close collaboration with the build contractors
- Ensure sufficient resources for the move weekend, both in terms of numbers and also levels of expertise.
As a consequence of the work done in planning, preparing and executing this move for the client, we have produced a set of guidelines to guide future office relocation projects.
